In Moncton?
It’s a bigger problem
than anyone realized.

YOUTH QUEST CENTRAL
Coordinator:
Chantal Landry
(869-6355)
Youth
QUEST Central is a multi-resource centre for youth aged 16-24 who
are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The facility, located at 199 St-George Street, includes
laundry and shower facilities, academic upgrading, vocational and
job-readiness training, information sessions, counselling,
directional planning, and artistic and recreational programming.
October
2005 stood as an important month in Youth QUEST Central’s
history as MYR held a Grand
Opening to announce the completion of its $1.35 million Capital
Campaign, and staff from the agency’s various Outreach and Youth
Q.U.E.S.T. programs moved into this heritage building.
A manager was hired in December 2005 and the ‘Drop-in
component’ was launched in late January with a youth
celebration. Also in January, a meeting was held with 15 representatives
from existing government and community services to coordinate the
delivery of their programs and services directly from Youth QUEST
Central.
